一年来,我省各地发生火灾事件很多,根据民政厅十个月的不完全统计:计有临川、丰城、崇仁、高安等二十四个县市共发生火灾一百七十八次,受灾群众三千七百四十八人,其中因火灾死亡十七人,伤六十五人,烧毁房屋达二千五百一十九间。其他如粮食、农具、衣物、家具的损失,也十分严重,如临川县即发生火灾十六次,烧毁房屋四百零五间、稻谷七万九千余斤、农具家具三千多件,和其他农物等共损失达七万余元之巨。使遭灾群众在生产和生活上发生了严重的困难。火灾发生的原因,大部分是由于群众烧饭、烘衣、烧火灰等不慎引起的;有的因小孩玩火或因烧迷信品引起的;有的系反革
