Rockefeller and his Standard Oil Company are household names in the United States. As the first billionaire in the history of the United States, Rockefeller experienced the Cleveland acquisition battle, the Pittsburgh plan and the Baltimore acquisition plan, making him the most influential figure in the nationwide kerosene oil refining market. Subsequently, he began to enter the pipeline transportation industry, and eventually seized 88.5% of the pipeline transportation business, and also made an unshakable position in the oil transportation industry. At the same time, Rockefeller’s first trust, the Standard Petroleum Trust, established in the 1880s, profoundly affected the future economic and political development of the United States and even the world at large. The 9-member trusteeship committee signed at the beginning of the Trust led directly to the Sherman Antitrust Act of the 1990s. Rockefeller was hailed as the father of American business and industry in the 20th century.
