《岩土技术》意图成为土力学与工程地质学两个领域里重要资料的一个交换园地，这两个领域是这么的相互依存，要问哪个领域更为重要将会是一个没有根据的问题。这一事实从刊物的名称很适当地表达出来。由于《岩土技术》没有先例，这就有必要回顾一下这门学科的发展历程，土力学
“Geotechnical Technology” is intended to become a exchange area for important data in the two fields of soil mechanics and engineering geology. These two fields are so interdependent. It is unfounded to ask which area is more important. This fact is properly expressed from the name of the publication.
