“常委会的同志要聚精会神地抓党的建设”,是 1989年 6月邓小平在向第三代中央领导集体作政治嘱托时明确提出的一个重要思想。这一重要思想提出的直接原因 ,是邓小平出于对“这个党该抓了 ,不抓不行了”的党的实际情况的清醒认识 ;更深层次的原因是邓小平基于对党的领袖、领袖集团的地位和作用的深刻认识。十三届四中全会以来 ,以江泽民为核心的党的第三代中央领导集体 ,根据这一重要思想的要求 ,始终聚精会神地抓党的建设 ,全面推进了党的建设这个新的伟大工程
