我国古代建筑术语较多,在《营造法式·总释》中,共有48条,引证了古籍文献中的词义,作了比较详细的解释。在此之前,《尔雅》、《说文解字》、《释名》等字书和解释词义的专箸中,都包含有关建筑的字义和名词解释。《尔雅》是我国一部最早解释词义的专著,由秦汉时学者收集周代至汉代的有关旧文,增益缀辑而成,有关建筑名词集中在《尔雅·释宫》中,名词比较古老。现选择其中一些词义解释结合其他古籍文献的解释,作一介绍。
