美国阿克伦大学科学图书馆的参考馆员通过利用虚拟参考软件在家中以远程办公的形式为用户提供参考咨询服务。本文对这一项目的基本情况进行了介绍。这项计划的好处在于它不仅使参考馆员可以在闭馆后提供参考咨询服务,而且还为参考馆员创造了更为有效、更为增值的多任务工作环境。
Reference librarians at the University of Science Library in the United States provide reference services to users in the form of telecommuting at home through the use of virtual reference software. This article describes the basic situation of this project. The benefit of this program is that it not only allows reference librarians to provide reference services after closing, but also creates a more efficient and value-added multitasking work environment for reference librarians.
