According to the Taiwan Meteorological Seismological Information Center, a magnitude 6.7 earthquake (Figure 1) occurred at Minnesota, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan at 3:57 am on February 6, 2016 (120.54 degrees East longitude and 22.94 degrees north latitude) (Figure 1). The depth of the focal point is about 15 km . The epicentral distance is about 40Km away from downtown Kaohsiung, about 30Km away from downtown Tainan and about 42Km from the downtown of Pingtung County.
