在2011年的米兰设计周上,瑞典设计团队Front带来的“故事花瓶(Story Vases)”引起人们极大的关注。这一系列花瓶是南非妇女运用夸祖鲁-纳塔尔省当地的传统串珠工艺制成的。这已不是南非手工艺第一次在国际性的设计展上引人注目,南非本身所具有的神奇色彩就足以吸引大多数人,而南非手工艺就是其中极富魅力的一个方面。
At the Milan Design Week 2011, the “Story Vases” brought by the Swedish design team Front aroused great attention. This series of vases is made by South African women using the traditional beading process in KwaZulu-Natal. This is not the first time that South African handicrafts have attracted the attention of international design shows. The magic of South Africa itself is enough to attract the majority of people. South African handicrafts are one of the most attractive aspects.
