在中国24个传统节气的“立春”之际,中国机械工程学会副理事长兼秘书长宋天虎在学会举行的高级会员迎新报告会上,作了题为《机械制造技术的发展及其高技术化》的精彩报告,带给大家一种耳目一新的感觉。这个报告是以中国机械工程学会副理事长练元坚同志为组长的研究小组经过多次调研,反复征求众多专家意见的基础上凝练出来的,是中国科协下达的《2020中国的科学与技术研究》项目中由中国机械工程学会牵头并由众多工科学会参加的制造技术分课题中的主要内容。参加此次高级会员迎新会的150多名代表来自60多个单位,有经验资深的机械工业的老前辈,有留学国外归来的年轻博士,大家纷纷表示受益非浅。这里将部分精彩内容及观点分主题刊登,相信读者能从中得到启发和收获。我们的确需要全新的理念,摆脱传统的“经典”的“机械”含义,与时俱进地扩展机械的内涵,把机械理解为结构和控制系统的统一体,涵盖金属材料的刚性体、非金属材料的柔性体及活性体,把制造技术看作是创造一切实体物品的方法和技巧。机械科学必须有一个与控制理论、计算机科学、人工智能科学和信息科学相适应的飞跃发展。正像路甬祥理事长所说:“我们为之奋斗的制造强国绝不是仅仅基于传统技术和产品的强国,而必须是适应新时代、掌握新技术、满足新
