杨彦,号大獒堂主,本琦。北京人,1958年生。擅长国画、书法。先后拜师王敦化、华拓、亚明、李可染。84年之前于南京,主要接受江苏画派启蒙,后赴北京接受北方画派和西方艺术影响。89年开始实验性水墨画创作,被评论界认为:“杨彦的画北气南韵,古法新貌”、“体涉古今,意骇中西”。近些年来,常于海内外讲学、办展、访问、出版画集,作品拍卖等。是海内外较有影响的中青年书画家。
