Introduction From the end of November 1986 to the beginning of December 1986, student protests in Paris recovered. Suddenly, hundreds of thousands of students, often indifferent to politics, swayed unexpectedly. The direct cause of the student dissatisfaction is a bill being drafted by Alain Dcvaquct, the university’s director of education. The main purpose of this act is to abolish the Savary Law on University adopted in January 1984. In 1983 and 1984, many right-wing politicians, students and trade unionists started campaigns to oppose the implementation of this socialist code, but eventually failed to stop the passage of the law. Undoubtedly, once the right-wingers won the majority in the National Assembly led by Jacqucs Chirac in the spring of 1986, a bill that deals in some aspects with the university issue would be ready immediately.
