The Wrightia javanica is widely distributed in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula and other South Asian regions. Two new pregnane alkaloids (1, 2) were isolated from this plant leaf. Compound 1 showed a cytotoxic effect on vincristine-resistant murine leukemia P388 cell line, and Compound 2 was less cytotoxic.
