大学英语的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合运用能力,特别是听说以及口语表达能力,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,以此来适应我国社经济发展和国际间的交流合作的需求。根据上述教学性质和目标,我国启动了基于计算机和网络的大学英语教学改革项目,各大高校陆续地投入了资金来建立网络学习平台,为视听说提供技术支撑,而在整个的网络学习平台过程中,学生的自主学习能力的作用显得尤为突出。学生应在教师的指导下,充分发挥自己的主观能动性,积极、主动地进行自主学习。
