至2006年8月15日,上海世博会园区居民动迁全部完成。8月19日,园区内的明浦路等11条道路正式开工修筑,标志着世博会园区工程建设全面启动。上海世博会事务协调局在媒体通气会上透露,世博会园区规划控制范围约6．68平方公里,其中规划红线范围约5．28平方公里。为加强地区空间环境的整合与协调,红线范围外设置1．4平方公里的协调区,保留现有居民区、市政配套和公共设施等,总建筑面积约130万平方米。
Until August 15, 2006, the relocation of Shanghai World Expo Park residents was completed. On August 19, 11 roads including Mingpu Road in the park officially started construction, marking the full start of the construction of the World Expo Park. Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau revealed at the media briefing, Expo Park Planning and Control Area of about 6.68 square kilometers, of which planning a red line of about 5.28 square kilometers. In order to strengthen the integration and coordination of the space environment in the region, a coordination area of 1.4 square kilometers shall be set up outside the red line to retain existing residential areas, municipal facilities and public facilities with a total GFA of 1.3 million square meters.
