Shaanxi is the birthplace of Chinese Zheng culture, the old saying goes: Zheng, originated in Qin, so called Qin Zheng. However, before the founding of the PRC, Zheng almost disappeared in Shaanxi. The Zheng discipline of Xi’an Conservatory of Music, founded in 1956, not only carries the heavy historical weight of the Qin Emperor for a thousand years, but also shoulders the responsibility of rejuvenating “the Voice of True Qin”. For half a century, under the leadership of Mr. Zhou Yanjia, leader of Qin Zheng School, several generations of teachers have worked hard to uphold the philosophy of “returning Qin to Qin”
