Yanyuan County is located in the southwest of Sichuan Province and administratively belongs to Sichuan Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. Located in the corridor of the Hengduan Mountains bordering Sichuan and Yunnan, its special geographical location and abundant natural resources have particular paradigm significance for the study of the resource trade in population movement and cultural exchange. The bronze culture presented by the local archaeological discoveries in recent years has distinct ethnic and geographical features. The discovery and study of the bronze culture unique to the Yanyuan area at the end of the 20th century and the ethnic characteristics show that in the Qin and Han dynasties there was a developed bronze culture in the area and a regional center was formed.
