小鼠腹腔巨噬细胞、兔主动脉平滑肌细胞和内皮细胞与LDL共同孵育均能引起LDL氧化修饰。在培养液中加入不同剂量的姜黄醇提取物,能对抗上述三种细胞对LDL的氧化修饰作用,当姜黄素浓度在4.3μmol/L时对巨噬细胞和平滑肌细胞引起LDL氧化的抑制达65%以上,而对内皮细胞引起的LDL氧化的抑制作用需要较大的剂量,当姜黄素浓度在34μmol/L时达到57%,并且有明显的量效关系。
