由国家教委委托中国大学生乒协主办的“双鱼杯”第九届全国大学生乒乓球锦标赛于1999年8月2日～8日在甘肃省兰州铁道学院举行。来自清华大学、北京大学,上海交通大学、华东理工大学等27所高等院校的44支球队的近300名教练员、运动员、裁判员参加了本次赛事。比赛共设男、女团体、单打、双打及混双7个项目,是历届参赛人数最多、规模最大的一次。
The Ninth National PGA Table Tennis Championships, commissioned by the State Education Commission, is sponsored by the Table Tennis Association of China Under the Pisces Cup and was held at Lanzhou Railway Institute of Gansu Province from August 2 to August 8, 1999. Nearly 300 coaches, athletes and referees from 44 teams from 27 colleges and universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and East China University of Science and Technology participated in the competition. A total of male, female groups, singles, doubles and mixed pairs of seven projects, is the largest number of participants, the largest once.
