消费信贷作为银行新的效益增长点,这几年有了很大的发展,不论是耐用消费品还是汽车消费信贷,每年都以相当比例的速度递增,消费信贷已经成为商业银行竞争的焦点。据国家统计局统计,截止2001年底,中国的商业银行仅发放汽车消费贷款就达700亿元人民币,加上耐用消费品消费贷款,中国商业银行的消费信贷获得了长足的发展。从事消费信贷的商业银行都取得了不菲的经营收入,但同时也暴露出一些问题,那就是消费信贷的风险的不可预知性。因此,商业银行在竞争过程中怎样控制消费信贷的风险成了商业银行开展此项业务的主要关节点。胡维翊律师对金融法律研究多年,对银行业务的风险控制有着深刻的感知和实际经验。本期律师金融实务特邀胡律师就商业银行如何控制消费信贷风险发表灼见,为商业银行更好的开展这项业务提供一些帮助。——编者
As a new profit growth point of the bank, consumer credit has made tremendous development in recent years. Whether it is consumer durables or auto consumer credit, the loan credit has been increasing at a comparatively large rate every year. Consumer credit has become the focus of competition among commercial banks. According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, as of the end of 2001, commercial banks in China paid only 70 billion yuan of loans for consumer loans. Consuming loans on consumer durables led to a great development in the consumer credit of commercial banks in China. Commercial banks engaged in consumer credit have made a lot of money but also exposed some problems, namely the unpredictable risk of consumer credit. Therefore, how commercial banks control the risk of consumer credit during the competition has become the key point for commercial banks to carry out this business. Mr. Hu Weiyi has studied financial law for many years and has profound perception and practical experience in risk control of banking business. In this issue, Lawyer’s financial practice invited Mr. Hu to express his views on how commercial banks control the risk of consumer credit, and provided some help to commercial banks to better conduct this business. --editor
