由于计算机和电信技术的不断更新,世界无线寻呼业务市场发展仍具有潜力。1993年底全世界共有4400万寻呼用户,其中北美占46％;亚太占44％;西欧占7％。据EMCI预测,到1999年世界70个国家寻呼用户总数将超过1.3亿。其中亚太地区无线寻呼市场增长幅度最大,约占世界用户总数的55％,这与中国寻呼用户迅速增长有直接的关系。
Due to the continuous updating of the computer and telecommunication technologies, the development of the global paging service market still has potential. By the end of 1993, there were 44 million paging users worldwide, 46% in North America, 44% in Asia Pacific and 7% in Western Europe. According to EMCI’s forecast, by 1999, the total number of paging users in 70 countries in the world will exceed 130 million. Among them, the wireless paging market in Asia Pacific has the largest growth rate, accounting for about 55% of the total number of users in the world. This is directly related to the rapid growth of paging subscribers in China.
