On April 6, a State Council executive meeting was held, setting the focus of deepening medical reform in 2016. The meeting pointed out that the new round of medical reform has achieved positive results, and people’s health and life expectancy per capita have further increased. The meeting identified the focus of deepening medical reform in 2016: First, the city public hospital comprehensive reform pilot cities expanded from 100 to 200, to carry out county-level public hospital comprehensive reform demonstration. Second, we conducted pilot grading clinics in about 70% of the prefectures and cities in the country and started public medical on-the-job or retired physicians to primary-level medical institutions for practicing or working in public hospitals
