乾州陈子林先生,夙以大写意花鸟名家,蜚声画坛。今值先生九十寿庆之际,人美社以近现代国画名家系列刊行其画集一巨册,凡二百余幅。复有以九十幅小本集为请者,因编斯册,以广结翰墨之缘。先生早年性喜书画,远房叔侯国忠授以魏碑笔法,并“作字如做人”之古训,欣然受之,终生恪守不易。志学之年,乃师从西安画界名耆冯友石,前后凡十数年,登堂入室,颇受器重。冯友石创办西安美术学院国画系,先生任系干事,后执教于师范系。1962年学院精简,回乡务农,旋又下放眉县文化馆。“文革”时期,蒙不白之冤,备受非人折磨。岁月蹉
