At the beginning of the 20th century, both the “Waste Land” and the “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” had come out with horrifying results. After the initial controversy, “Wasteland” became the masterpiece of modernist poetry, which is regarded as a milestone in the western modernist poetry. Lady Chatterley’s Lover also stood the test of time and became a classic in the history of world literature. This article attempts to start from the view of sexuality involved in the two works, contrasting the author’s different critique and thinking about the present state of existence of the modern man, and then reveals an astonishing fit between the two in spiritual essence, namely, they all oppose the destruction of human nature by the industrial civilization, Dream to return to the Garden of Eden, regain the harmony between man and nature, man and nature, man and God.
