DR·斯科特(1887～1954)于1887年10月24日生于美国密苏里州东北角靠近蒙得塞露的地方。他的名字DR,是取他父亲戴维·罗兰·斯科特(David·Roland·Scott)的头两个字母。DR·斯科特首先在他出身地刘易斯县的一所乡村小学就读,1902～1904年在坎顿镇读中学,1904～1906年在坎顿的卡尔弗——斯托克顿学院读书,1907～1910年就读于密苏里大学,并于1910年获得文学和新闻学双学士学位。1930年获得哈佛大学哲学博士学位。 1911年,斯科特担任密苏里大学讲师,在政治经济学系任教一年。1912年,他离开学校,到《底特律时报》担任记者,直到1914年又回到密苏里大学。这一年,他帮助学校建起了商学院,并于1917年成为经济学助理教授。
DR Scott (1887-1954) was born on October 24, 1887 in the northeastern corner of Missouri, USA, near Montcello. His name, DR, is the first two letters of his father, David Roland Scott. DR Scott first attended a rural primary school in Lewis County, where he was from, from 1902 to 1904 in Middleton, from Culver-Stockton College in Canton in 1904-1906, in 1907 ~ 1910 studied at the University of Missouri, and in 1910 received a double degree in literature and journalism. 1930 PhD from Harvard University. In 1911, Scott was a lecturer at the University of Missouri, teaching for a year in the Department of Political Economy. In 1912 he left school and went to the Detroit Times as a journalist until he returned to the University of Missouri in 1914. This year, he helped to set up a school of business in the school and in 1917 became an assistant professor of economics.
