规训在早期就存在过,但是人们很少研究它。自从人类产生以后,规训事实上就存在过。儿童接受父母的惩罚和教育,人类接受社会行为训练和指导等等都明显具有规训的特征。我国早期文献中有关规训的说法主要见于《陈书·王瑒传》,里面文字是这样描述的:“瑒,兄弟三十馀人,居家篤睦,每岁时馈遗,遍及近亲,敦诱诸弟,并禀其规训。”~([1])这里规训主要是指规劝训诫。没有训诫,人们做事情的代价较小,风险大于
