苦麻菜又叫野莴苣、良麻、莱菜、鹅菜等。河北省经过几年的试种推广,到一九七八年全省播种面积达到48000亩。据分析,新鲜苦麻菜含粗蛋白质2.6％,风干苦麻菜含粗蛋白质26.25％。一般亩产在15000—20000斤之间,高产的可达30000斤以上。按亩产15000斤计算,亩产粗蛋白质390斤(含2.6％),相当于5000斤玉米含的蛋白质,是一种值得大力推广的高产优质多汁饲料。
