二战后,社会发展理论先后经历了现代化理论、依附理论和以沃勒斯坦为代表的世界体系理论三个不同发展阶段,三种理论以不同的知识与时代背景,在不同时期先后占据了发展理论研究与应用的主导地位。从时间顺序来看,世界体系理论出现在前两种理论之后;从理论内容和影响来看,世界体系理论打破了现代化理论和依附理论的二元对立,是二者的整合与超越,开拓了发展理论的新境界。
After World War II, the theory of social development has undergone three stages of development: modernization theory, attachment theory and world system theory represented by Wallerstein.
