中国共产党党员、我国神经内科知名专家、四川大学华西医院神经内科主任医师徐文桢同志,因病医治无效,不幸于2007年3月8日逝世,享年73岁。徐文桢同志1934年8月出生于四川省成都市,1955年6月加入中国共产党,1956年12月毕业于四川医学院医疗系,毕业后一直在四川大学华两医院从医执教。1990年作为访问学者赴美国进修,1998年6月退休。徐文桢同志历任主治医师、副教授、主任医师,并任中华医学会神经病学神经遗传学组副组长、中华医学会神经病学专委会委员、中华医学会神经免疫学组常务委员、中华神经科杂志编委、四川省遗传学会会员、中华医学会成都分会会员;曾获得国家发明三等奖、四川省科技进步二等奖、三等奖、四川省遗传学会优秀论文三等奖、四川省卫生厅优秀论文等奖项。1977年获得医院先进工作者称号,从1993年起享受国家政府特殊
Comrade Xu Wenzhen, a member of the Chinese Communist Party and a famous expert in neurology of China, and chief physician of neurology of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, unfortunately died on March 8, 2007 at the age of 73. Comrade Xu Wenzhen was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in August 1934 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1955. He graduated from the Department of Medical Sciences of Sichuan Medical College in December 1956 and has been teaching medicine at two Chinese hospitals in Sichuan University since his graduation. In 1990 as a visiting scholar to the United States for further studies, June 1998 retired. Xu Wenzhen served as attending physician, associate professor, chief physician, and he served as deputy director of neurological genetics group of Chinese Medical Association Neurology, Chinese Medical Association neurological special committee, the Chinese Medical Association neuroimmunology group standing committee, Chinese Journal of Neurology Editorial Board, a member of Sichuan Genetics Society and a member of Chinese Medical Association Chengdu Branch; won the third prize of National Invention Award, the second prize of scientific and technological progress in Sichuan Province, the third prize, the third prize of excellent paper of Sichuan Genetics Society, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Health Excellent papers and other awards.
