In this study, a retrospective cohort study was conducted in Taicang, Jiangsu Province on the abortion status of 668 low birth weight oral contraceptive tablets (OC) users and 814 IUD users (taking drugs or using IUD for 5 to 15 years) Its influencing factors are analyzed. The results showed that in the long-term continuous use of different contraceptive measures in women, long-term low-dose consumption of OC average pregnancy was 2.24, well below the IUD 2.40 (P <0.01); OC average abortion The number was 0.56, which was much lower than 0.75 in the IUD group. The proportion of never-induced abortion in the OC group was 46%, much higher than 29% in the IUD group. Multivariate regression analysis showed that the number of pregnancies, live births, whether the use of OC, the last gestational age, the first live birth age and women’s age are the main factors for abortion. Therefore, OC has a higher contraceptive efficiency than IUD
