食品卫生行政处罚是县级以上地方人民政府卫生行政部门依照《中华人民共和国食品卫生法》在管辖范围内,对食品生产、经营单位的违法行为给予的法律制裁。根据违法事实、性质、情节以及社会危害程度依法给予不同的行政处罚。 为了解内蒙古自治区1997～2000年各类食品的生产、经营单位违法情况和全区各级卫生行政部门对违反食品卫生法的行为给予行政处罚的种类及频率,现作一概括的分析并报告如下。
