柑桔生产的目的就是希望获得良好的收成,但在生产实践中往往会出现柑桔种植后4~6年已达结果年龄的健旺树(甚至10多年的成年壮树)不能结果,或开花结果很少,以及隔年结果的现象。柑桔开花结果的能力除了受品种遗传特性,砧木品种及气候因素的影响之外,与柑桔本身碳水化合物的积累和无机营养分的吸收等都有一定的关系。
