The first stop of the visit was Mr. Sixten Sunabacka, head of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and Economic Affairs’s forest industry strategy program with more than 20 years of experience in forestry. He briefed journalists on the bioeconomic development in Finland and its future development strategy. Bioeconomic Development Finland’s bioeconomy output reached 64 billion euros in 2013, an increase of 10 billion euros compared with 2004, far beyond the Finnish government’s budget. More than half of the bioeconomic output comes from forestry products (without regard to technology and product-related service output,
