Objective To investigate the effect of labor analgesia on the early neonatal and its significance. Methods 100 cases of newborn infants born in labor analgesia group and 100 cases of newborn childbirth in non-analgesic group were analyzed. The time of first urination, the time of starting breastfeeding, the midwifery and neonate asphyxia. Results The first urination time of newborn infants born after labor analgesia group was later than that of non-analgesic group (P = 0.019), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Labor assistance in labor analgesia group was higher than that in non-analgesia group (P = 0.001), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the analgesia group and non-analgesia group (P = 0.723) and birth asphyxia (P = 0.683) (P> 0.05). Conclusion Labor analgesia has no significant effect on breastfeeding and asphyxia, but prolongs the time of first urination in infants and increases the incidence of midwifery.
