在世界报纸行业普遍亏损、“报纸消亡论”甚嚣尘上的情况下,中国报业逆势而上创收500亿,居全球报业之首。能够取得如此骄人成绩,一方面,由于中国报业媒体自身的改革创新,应对新媒体的挑战,另一方面,中国经济增长促进了纸媒的创收,中国地区发展不平衡的国情在某些方面对报纸又形成了保护性措施。尽管中国报业近几年发展态势良好,但是危机和挑战依然存在,威胁报纸的生存空间。
