作为军事谋略《三十六计》之一计的“无中生有”不是指凭空捏造,栽赃陷害,而是军事上虚虚实实由虚变实的诳敌战术。其中“无”是迷惑敌人的假象,“有”是隐藏于假象背后的真实目的。在市场营销中巧妙运用此计,可实现自己在假象掩盖下的真实企图。以下试举三例。其一:日本东京一位顾客在商店买了一台吸尘器,回家后发现是劣质产品,于是打电话给商店,表示抗议。不一会,商店老板赶到他家,一进门就兴奋地喊:
