The United States is one of the countries in the world where journalism is well developed. The main features of various news media (newsmedia) are increasingly commercialized and highly monopolized. The newspaper industry started in the late 17th century and developed rapidly, nearly 300 years ago. As early as in the War of Independence, the newspaper industry played an important role.
