鲜桃向是6月水果淡季市场上的一枝独秀,近年来由于瓜果早熟品种的选用及保护地栽培技术的发展,西瓜、番茄提早成熟,与鲜桃争夺市场日趋激烈。传统主栽的大红袍桃成熟期显得太迟,发展前途受到影响。为此,我们引进了一批早熟桃品种,于1983年3月上旬在市园艺场的丘陵岗地上定植14.1亩。其中,砂子早生299株,杭州特早143株(授粉树为冈山早生,100株),并以大红袍为对照(136株),定植密度均为4×4米,随机排列。定植时,引种的早熟品种为芽苗(砧木是毛桃),大红袍为本场自育
