在清末民初中国机制币铸造中心和祖模雕刻中心——天津造币总厂的历史上,李伯琦是一个重要人物。安徽省图书馆馆刊《学风》1934年第4卷第6期刊载的李伯琦撰《中国金币考》(署名李国瓌)、上海《永安月刊》1945年9月第76期刊载的李伯琦撰《中国纪念币考》,均为近代机制币发展史上的重要文献。不过,迄今尚不知李伯琦当年在造币总厂到底担任过何种职务。为什么这么说呢?李伯琦在《中国纪念币考》文中,至少有四次记述了他在天津造币总厂“主币政”的情况:一
