Reading is an important part of junior high school English teaching. Almost 60% of the time is arranged for reading instruction. Reading is also a major part of junior high school English textbooks, which received special attention in teaching. At present, junior high school English reading teaching faces some problems, such as students floating on the surface of reading the text, students can not grasp the central idea of the text. These problems have restricted the improvement of junior high school English reading teaching quality and therefore need to be improved. The fundamental reason for the existence of these problems in junior high school English reading teaching is that students do not play a dominant role, and students are completely subordinate to teachers’ teaching and lack of independent study.
