作为当代中国最有声望、成果最为卓著的经济学家,厉以宁除了担任北京大学工商管理学院院长,还担负着全国人大法律委员会主任委员的职务。在国人的心目中,学者的形象一向是安于清贫和淡泊自守的,而厉以宁却大大地超越出这种传统的学者型风范。在踏踏实实搞调研、兢兢业业做学问之外,他没有忘记以自己的实力对中国经济的诸多领域施加着并非一个学者能施加的影响。
As one of the most prestigious and accomplished economists in contemporary China, Li Yining, in addition to being Dean of Peking University’s School of Business, also assumed the chairmanship of the Legal Committee of the NPC. In the eyes of the people, the scholars’ image has always been to live in poverty and indifference, while Li Yining has greatly exceeded this traditional scholarly style. In steadily doing research and conscientiously doing science, he has not forgotten that using his own strength to impose on many areas of China’s economy is not a scholar’s influence.
