Establishing a special economic zone in reform and opening up is a very important idea in Deng Xiaoping’s theory system of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. The special economic zone is not only a window to China’s opening to the outside world, but more importantly, a test ground for China’s reform and opening up. Comrade Deng Xiaoping proposed that the main intention of establishing a special economic zone be the correct way to explore China’s economic structural reform and the development of a socialist market economy in the special zone
