The results of two multi-point experiments showed that there were extremely significant differences in growth between varieties within the Caribbean pine and significant interactions between the varieties and the environment. In the Leizhou Peninsula, the Bahamas variant and the Cuban variant grew fast and were resistant to stress, while the Honduras variant was susceptible to the Siberian stem borer and leaf blight and showed great instability. In Hainan Island, the Bahamas and Honduras varieties grew rapidly, while the growth rate of Cuban variants was significantly lower. Within the varieties, the Bahamas grew best on the natural provenance of the Abaco Island in the Bahamas and the secondary provenance of Byfield in Queensland, Australia. The secondary provenance of Zhanjiang in China and the natural provenance of Andros Island in the Bahamas grew the worst. The Honduras variant grew better except for the provenance of Los Limones and Santa Clara. There was no significant difference in growth between the provenances within the Cuban variants.
