在宋代,斗茶可谓风靡一时,如同西班牙斗牛一样惹人眷爱。但不同的是,斗茶要文雅得多,其文化内涵也十足丰富。斗茶,即比赛茶的优劣,又名斗茗、茗战,始于唐,盛于宋,是古代有钱有闲人的一种雅玩。宋代是一个极讲究茶道的时代,宋徽宗赵佶撰《大观茶论》,蔡襄撰《茶录》,黄儒撰《品茶要录》,可见宋代斗茶之风极盛。每年清明节期间,新茶初出,最适合参斗。
