眼科用内镜主要是进行内眼及眶内的检查。但由于经瞳孔可观察到眼内情况,所以眼科很少使用它。本文仅就内镜在眼科中的应用做一展望。在日本,梶浦、加美山、荒木等人制作了主要用来检查睫状体附近的内镜。虽说经瞳孔可进行检查,但睫状体附近的病变一般是很难观察到的。所以人们多认为眼科用内镜主要是进行睫状体附近的检查。Thorpe等试制了进行内眼检查与手术的内镜,但都是用来吸除眼内非磁性异物的。
