数字资源长期保存是通过对数字信息生命周期的管理,超越技术的变化和最终用户群体的变化,保证数字对象的长期可访问、可理解和可利用,需要解决的关键问题之一就是保证保存数字对象在其保存生命周期内均可在存储介质上定位并利用。SIRF(Self-contained Information Retention Format)是一个用于长期保存的逻辑存储格式,既可以满足OAIS的逻辑保存需求,又可以克服长期保存系统对底层存储介质依赖性较强的弊端。本文在详细分析SIRF存储格式的基础上,提出SIRF应用模型,进而对SIRF应用效果进行了深入分析。对“SIRF与长期保存数字对象的不变性”研究,将对数字资源长期保存系统的建设起到抛砖引玉的作用。
Long-term preservation of digital resources is one of the key issues to be solved by ensuring the long-term accessibility, comprehensibility and availability of digital objects through the management of the life cycle of digital information beyond technological changes and changes in the end-user community. Objects can be located and utilized on storage media during their lifecycle. SIRF (Self-contained Information Retention Format) is a logical storage format for long-term storage, which can not only meet the logic preservation requirements of OAIS but also overcome the shortcomings that the long-term storage system has strong dependence on the underlying storage media. Based on the detailed analysis of the SIRF storage format, this paper proposes the SIRF application model and further analyzes the application effect of SIRF. Research on the “SIRF and the Immutability of Long-term Preservation of Digital Objects” will serve as a valuable resource for the long-term preservation of digital resources system.
