夏橙果实一般在次年3—5月成熟,正值果品淡季,因此,对调节市场供应,具有重要意义。我省发展夏橙已有30多年历史,以长江流域宜宾地区栽培最多,其次温江、南充、重庆市等地有较多分布。现在生产上已推广的夏橙品种有“五月红”及“伏令夏橙”,具有产量高,品质好等优点,深受群众欢迎。目前我国南方其他柑桔产区也相继引种试栽,并正在大力建立商品基地。伏令夏橙及五月红主要特征特性如下:
Summer orange fruit generally mature in March-May next year, is the fruit off-season, therefore, to regulate the market supply, of great significance. The development of summer orange in our province has been more than 30 years old, with the most cultivation in the Yibin area of the Yangtze River valley, followed by Wenjiang, Nanchong, Chongqing and other places are more distributed. Summer orange varieties have now been promoted in production, “May Red” and “V Summer Orange”, with high yield, good quality and other advantages, welcomed by the masses. At present, other citrus producing areas in southern China have also been introduced for trial planting, and are vigorously establishing a commodity base.
