读书贵有所得,读书亦贵有所疑。有疑然后再有所得,则是更进一步亦更上层楼了。王念孙、王引之父子的《读书杂志》、《经义述闻》,就是这样善于读书而成就为有清一代的大学者的。《读书杂志》是王念孙博览群书后的心得体会语,实际上也是他科学的读书方法的收获。徐复教授的《后读书杂志》则是继承这一传统而又有所创新的,读之极能新人耳目、扩人心胸,而又能探明治学之道的。其书之精到处,拟从下列三方面论述之。

The essence of his book, to be discussed from the following three aspects.
