1985 年 6 月 CRAY research company Masayuki announced CRAY-2 supercomputer (Figure 1, Figure 5) was successfully developed. The aircraft can calculate 1 billion floating-point results per second. The cRAY-2 computer system laid the foundation for the next generation of supercomputers. The main features of the aircraft are: large-capacity public memory (256 megabytes 64 words), four background processors, 4.1ns clock cycles and host liquid immersion technology. The CRAY-2 machine is 6 to 12 times more efficient than the CRAY-1 and runs the increasingly popular UNIX operating system. The cRAY-2 machine successfully uses many advanced technologies.
