Millions of women worldwide have varying degrees of endometriosis (EMs), one out of every 15 women of reproductive age, 25% with infertility and 80% with menstrual disorders . Leptin, a product of the human obesity gene, is markedly elevated in obese individuals. At present, the concentration of leptin in plasma is related to androgen and gonadotropin. Danazol is a commonly used drug for the treatment of EMs. GnRH-a has been widely used in premenopausal EMs since the late 1980s.
