黄埔军校位于广州市东南珠江中黄埔长洲岛上,全岛面积6平方公里,山峦起伏、四面环水、筑有炮台多处、隔江与鱼珠、沙路炮台相望。当年阗桂军阀盘踞广州,长洲岛位于珠江中,易于控制江面,易守难攻。又则当时长洲岛上尚有清末陆军小学堂校舍,稍加修葺即可使用,也可节省当时紧张的人力和资金,故选择此地作为军校所在。时至今日,80多年过去了,黄埔军校大门依旧保持着原貌。大门中央上方
